Our tiles are already polished and pre-sealed in the factory before delivery to the client. That makes the job of installation in the project much easier and safer. After installation and putting the grout in the joints (always a messy job) it is essential the grout is removed totally to avoid a cement shade. Pre-sealed tiles make that job much easier and safer. Especially, since the cement tile is porous if not pre sealed, it will absorb easily all the dirt and can never be cleaned with an aggressive acid or chemical unlike ceramic tiles. Nevertheless, we recommend to use an experienced professional to install the tiles to prevent problems and disappointment.

The underground must be stable and straight. Basically, there are two ways to install the tiles to the floor; with mortar or with a flexible premixed adhesive (for instance Lemkra 402). The space between the tiles (the joints) must never be more than 1 till 1.5 mm. to make sure that the pattern is smooth. Use a rubber hammer with care to equalize the tiles without breaking them. Any residue of mortar on the surface must be cleaned immediately to avoid stains. Use a very liquid grout and clean it very carefully with water to which bleach free and acid free detergent has been added. We can provide the grout with the same color of the tiles if wished.
